Quartz, Cactus Citrine
An attractive piece featuring a white Quartz crystal with overgrowth of smaller golden (citrine) Quartz crystals, though the termination is left unaltered and exposed. The citrine is naturally colored, highly lustrous and primarily populates the front of the specimen, whereas the back of the specimen has mostly colorless Quartz overgrowth. There are a few more smaller Quartz crystals with citrine Quartz overgrowth at the base. Most citrine found on the market today is heat-treated amethyst, which is why I particularly liked this piece because of its natural, unaltered color. In excellent condition.
