One of the most interesting and beautiful “floaters” I’ve ever seen. This specimen is a large hemispherical formation of lustrous, sharp, translucent and colorless-to-slightly white Calcite crystals all the way around. The clue to its formation is when it is turned upside down (see pics) where you can see what I would surmise to be a stalagmitic matrix formation in the center of the hemisphere (most stalagmites have rounded tips) that was then coated with the Calcite crystals. This piece is amazing and a show-stopper. In excellent condition.
